As Brussels Design September returns for its 18th edition, The Dominican proudly partners with Brussels Design September and Augusta Gallery to showcase a fusion of sustainable design and contemporary art.

Located in the heart of Brussels near La Monnaie Theatre and the Grand Place, The Dominican offers a luxurious setting where art, history, and modern design meet.

Augusta Gallery, founded by sisters Ariane and Lara van Dievoet, is dedicated to eco-conscious design by exhibiting innovative works crafted from recycled and bio-based materials. The gallery itself, renovated under Ariane’s guidance, reflects its sustainability mission, using repurposed materials to create a thoughtful, reflective space.

The exhibition features artists like Louise Richard, Roxane Lahidji, La GADOUE Atelier, Ariane van Dievoet, Mathilde Wittock. and Didier Henry, all of whom explore the boundaries of design through sustainable, contemporary practices. Augusta’s lineup aligns with Design September’s theme of limited-edition creations and the importance of design in shaping tomorrow’s urban spaces.

The Dominican proudly unveils a captivating artistic journey commencing in March, promising an indelible mark on your stay. Our historic Monastery, becomes the canvas for Klara Rusan's magnificent illustrative art, adorning our windows in a display of Navigating Artistic Realms with Illustrative Brilliance. In the realm of sculpture, we take immense pride in presenting Antoine Leclercq, whose contemporary sculptures seamlessly blend metal with a captivating narrative behind each piece. History unfolds through the structure, complemented by a poetic touch, creating a flawless union in his artistry.

Enthusiasts of cars, motors, and a twist of history will be delighted by the introduction of Rudolf Van der Ven, a distinguished car photographer specializing in high-end classics and supercars. Rudolf brings to life the idea of capturing his ultimate collection of 50 supercars, and we proudly announce an exhibition featuring select pieces from this remarkable collection.
